Sheet overlay is misaligned after importing sheets from PDF files or CDE documents Follow
Problem
I have a sheet that was originally exported to Revizto from Revit (either fully or just sheet coordinates). After importing a new sheet version from a PDF file or a CDE document, the sheet overlay is misaligned.
Reason
The layout of the sheet that you imported from a PDF file is a bit different from the sheet exported from Revit.
This can have the following reasons:
- Incorrect settings of the PDF printer that you used to generate the PDF file.
- Invisible objects that overlap the sheet margins.
Solution
-
Check the settings of the PDF printer that you use to generate sheets from Revit, and correct them if needed.
The recommended settings include paper size that matches the Revit title block, no margin placement, and a 100% scale.
-
In Revit, look for elements that are outside of your sheet’s title block.
Note that even invisible element parts outside of the title block can cause problems. These parts become visible when you select them (see the figure below).
If you find any elements that are outside of the title block, do the following:
-
Edit the elements to fit the title block, and then apply the change to all affected sheets.
-
Export the affected sheets from Revit to Revizto (or export just the sheet coordinates).
