Project Roles - Global vs Project Specific

It would be nice to have the ability to apply Project Roles to users at the start of a project but then "tweak" them at an individual level when that person takes on more responsibilities.

Currently we are forced to change their role and continuously adjust the responsibilities within the roles globally. This workflow reduces flexibility and creates a potential need for dozens of Project Roles.
