Estimating Tools in 2D Issue Tool
BACKGROUND
A big reason our preconstruction teams struggle to fully implement Revizto in their departments is the lack of estimating tools. While they love the ability to use the model, some disciplines and estimating practices are still best in 2D. Because they still need the 2D for takeoff, they will typically have a Bluebeam Session meant for takeoff internal to Preconstruction. This causes problems in implementing the tool since Revizto can't fully supplement their estimating needs (yet).
CORE FEATURE REQUEST
It would be best for our design phase teams if, as part of the 2D Issue Tools, we were able to "Count" items with number markers (i.e. landscaping elements, equipment, fixtures, etc.), and use the other Measure tools in the 2D Issue Tools.
While you can save a snapshot of those measurements by creating an issue from them, you can't actually go back and add to or manipulate those measurements without creating a separate issue. It would be helpful to be able to add measurements (and counts) to issues after they've already been created so that when a drawing revision is released, we can review and update those takeoffs if needed.
Core Features Requests:
- Add "Count" Tool to Measurement Tools for 2D
FEATURE APPLICATION REQUESTS
With those core features added, a very beneficial application of those measurements would be providing an ability for measurements made inside an issue to show in the chat of the issue whenever created or when the number of the measurement is altered/updated.
Feature Application Requests:
- Measurement tools available for use in 2D Issue tools
- Ability to Change, Add, and Remove Measurements after Issue creation.
- See measurements recorded in the chat as updates to the issue (potentially a way in the issue information tab to change how measurements are recorded with options for sum, average, minimum, maximum?)
