Gaussian Splatting
I'm curious if anyone has experimented with converting .ply gaussian splatting models into .obj for use in Revizto. This seems like an exciting way to create point clouds /meshes, and I'm wondering what they look like when brought into Revizto.

I have not tried this but I am hearing this is becoming a more common method to capture real-life data into a 3D space and render them in real-time. I would check rendering engines such as Unreal Engine, Reality Capture, Unity, or Blender and see if you can import a .ply gaussian splatting model. From there, you should be able to export the 3D mesh to a .fbx, .obj, or .las file which Revizto supports. However, I have never done it and not sure how well or if the colored textures will come through into Revizto. Let me know if you get it to work.
