Viewing Revit phases in Revizto 5 Follow
In Revizto 5, search sets and appearance templates replaced the filter by phase. This article describes how to view phases in Revizto 5.
Overview
In 3D models created in Revit, each object has the following phase-related properties:
- Phase Created. The phase when the object is created.
- Phase Demolished. The phase when the object is demolished. If the phase is not specified (the object is permanent), Revizto does not display this property.
Each phase has the following properties:
- Category. Always "Phases".
- Name. A phase name.
- Sequence number. A number that indicates the phase order. Phases with lesser numbers come first.
- Id. A unique phase ID.
Note: If a Revit model was published from another authoring tool, such as Navisworks, the property names might change. For more information, see the authoring tool documentation.
To find objects that belong to specific phases, create a search set based on these properties. Then you can apply an appearance template to highlight the objects.
You can share the search set and the appearance template with your team, so that any of them can view these objects in a few clicks.
Viewing objects that belong to specific phases
To view objects that belong to specific phases:
-
In the Revizto application, create a search with conditions based on phase-related properties.
Examples:
Goal Search conditions Objects that are completed by the end of phase 2. Sequence Number of Phase Created ≤ 2
AND
(Sequence Number of Phase Demolished > 2
OR
Phase Demolished is undefined)Objects that are demolished during phase 2. SequenceNumber of PhaseDemolished = 2
Permanent objects. Phase Demolished is undefined
-
Save the search as a search set. You can share it with the team.
-
Create an appearance template that highlights the objects returned by the search set and apply it. You can share the appearance template with the team.
Example:
Goal Appearance settings View the building state by the end of phase 2.
Show objects demolished during phase 2 in red color with 75% transparency.
Isolate the objects completed by the end of phase 2.
Unhide the objects demolished during phase 2. Set their color to red and transparency to 75%.
