Managing search sets Follow
A search set is a set of rules that form a query to find specific objects of a 3D model by their parameters. Search sets can be personal (visible only to the author) or shared (visible to anyone on the project).

Creating search sets
Any Revizto user can create a search set. Search sets created in shared folders are visible to all project members.
Creating search sets from scratch
You can create a search set by saving your search.
To create a search set:

In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D.
-
On the top toolbar, click Find Objects
and create a search.
-
At the top of the Find Objects pane, go to Save/update
> Save as new set.
-
Enter the search set name, select a folder, and click OK.
Creating search sets by copying
You can create a search set by copying another search set and then editing it.
To create a search set:
-
In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D.
-
On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.

Right-click the search set that you want to copy and then click Duplicate.
This adds a copy of the search set to the list. It has the same name with the " 1" postfix. For example, if you copy "My set," the name of the copy is "My set 1."

Edit the new search set.

Creating search set folders
You can create search set folders. If you want to share your search sets, you will need a folder to store them.
To create a search set folder:

In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D.

On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.

Do one of the following:

At the top of the Search Sets pane, select a parent folder and click Create Folder
.

Right-click the parent folder and click Create folder.

Enter the folder name.
-
If you want to share the folder with other project members, select the Share folder with all project members checkbox.
If the checkbox is unavailable, you do not have enough rights.

Click OK.
Renaming search set folders
Any Revizto user can rename a search set folder that they created. Users with the "Manage shared search sets" right can rename shared search set folders that were created by other project members.
To rename a search set folder:

In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D.
-
On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.
If this option is unavailable, it is a shared folder and you do not have enough rights to rename it.

Right-click the folder and click Rename.

Enter a new name and click OK.
Moving search sets between folders
Any Revizto user can move a search set or a search set folder that they created to another folder that they created. Users with the "Manage shared search sets" right can move all search sets to shared folders created by other project members.
Shared search set folders cannot be moved.
To move a search set or folder to another folder:

In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D.
-
On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.

Drag the search set or folder to another folder.
Deleting search set folders
Any Revizto user can delete a search set folder that they created. Users with the "Manage shared search sets" right can delete shared search set folders that were created by other project members.
To delete a search set folder:

In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D
-
On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.

Select folders by clicking them while holding down Shift or Ctrl.
-
Right-click any of the selected folders and click Delete.
If this option is unavailable, it is a shared folder and you do not have enough rights to delete it.

In the confirmation window, click Delete.
Applying search sets
Apply a search set to select all objects that match the search set query.
To apply a search set:
-
In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D.
-
On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.

Do one of the following:
-
Double-click the search set.
-
Right-click the search set and click Find all.
-
Sharing search sets
Users with the "Manage shared search sets" right can share search set folders. Shared search set folders and their contents are visible to the entire team.
You can share only top-level folders.
Sharing search sets (method 1)
When you share a search set folder, its content becomes available to all project members.
To share search set folders:

In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D.
-
On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.
-
Select first-level folders by clicking them while holding down Shift or Ctrl.
-
Right-click any of the selected folders and click Share.
Sharing search sets (method 2)
When you share a search set folder, its content becomes available to all project members.
To share search set folders:
-
In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D.
-
On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.
-
At the top of the Search Sets pane, click Share
.
-
Select first-level folders and then, at the top of the pane, click Apply.
Unsharing search sets
Users with the "Manage shared search sets" right can unshare search set folders. Unshared search set folders and their contents are no longer visible to the entire team.
Unsharing search sets (method 1)
When you unshare a search set folder, its content becomes unavailable to other project members.
To unshare search set folders:

In the Revizto application, open a project.

At the top of the application window, click 3D.

On the top toolbar, click Search Sets

To unshare search set folders:

At the top of the application window, click 3D.

On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.

At the top of the Search Sets pane, click Share
.

Remove selections from the folders and then, at the top of the pane, click Apply.
Renaming search sets
Any Revizto user can rename a search set that they created. Users with the "Manage shared search sets" right can rename shared search sets that were created by other project members.
To rename a search set:

In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D.
-
On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.

Right-click the search set and click Rename.
If this option is unavailable, it is a shared search set and you do not have enough rights to rename it.

Enter a new name and click OK.

Any Revizto user can edit a search set that they created. Users with the "Manage shared search sets" right can edit shared search sets that were created by other project members.

At the top of the application window, click 3D.

On the top toolbar, click Search Sets

Right-click the search set and click Open in Find objects.

In the Find Objects pane, edit the search.

At the top of the Find Objects pane, click Save / update
.

Click Update "<set name>".
Editing search sets (by replacing the search query)
To edit a search set:

In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D.
-
On the top toolbar, click Find Objects
and create a search.

At the top of the Find Objects pane, click Save / update
.

Click Update existing set and select a set.
Exporting search sets
You can export search sets to a file. Then you can import the search sets to another project.
To export search sets to a file:
-
In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D.
-
On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.
-
Select search sets by clicking them while holding down Shift or Ctrl.
-
Do one of the following:
-
At the top of the Search Sets pane, click Export
.

Right-click any of the search sets and click Export.
-
- Enter the file name and click Save.
Importing search sets
You can import search sets from a .vimsst file. To learn how to create this file, see Exporting search sets.
To import search sets:
-
In the Revizto application, open a project.
-
At the top of the application window, click 3D.
-
On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.
-
At the top of the Search Sets pane, click Import
.

Select a file and click Open.
If a file contains a search set or folder that has the same name as an existing search set, Revizto adds the " 1" postfix to the name. For example, when you import "My set," its name changes to "My set 1."
Deleting search sets
Any Revizto user can delete a search set that they created. Users with the "Manage shared search sets" right can delete shared search sets that were created by other project members.
To delete a search set:

In the Revizto application, open a project.

At the top of the application window, click 3D.

On the top toolbar, click Search Sets
.

Select search sets by clicking them while holding down Shift or Ctrl, right-click any of the search sets, and then click Delete.
If this option is unavailable, it is a shared search set and you do not have enough rights to delete it.

In the confirmation window, click Delete.
