Importing and exporting tool settings Follow
Tool settings can be imported and exported to easily transfer personal settings between devices or team members. This is useful for sharing position specific settings or moving settings to a new device. The following tools have settings that can be imported and exported:
Search sets
Search sets can be shared, imported, and exported from the Search Sets panel within the 3D environment of Revizto.
To import or export search sets, perform the following:
- Open the “Search sets” panel by clicking More
on the toolbar and selecting “Search sets”, or by clicking Search sets
when in advanced view.
- To import, click Import
, select the search set file (.vimsst), and click Open.
- To export, select your search sets and click Export
. You can select multiple search sets with Ctrl+Click or by selecting a search set folder.
It's best practice to use a standardized naming format for search sets to promote adoption and ease of use.
Favorite properties
Favorite properties can be shared, imported, and exported through the Selection Inspector panel within the 3D environment of Revizto.
To import and export favorite property presets:
- Open the “Selection Inspector” by clicking More
on the toolbar and selecting “Selection Inspector”, or by clicking Selection Inspector
when in advanced view.
- Open the Favorite property editor by clicking the property editor icon
.
- Select the favorite property you want to export.
- Click Export
to export the selected property to a preset file (.fpps).

To import favorite properties in another project, follow steps 1-3 and click Import
.
Appearance templates
Appearance templates can be shared, imported, and exported through the Appearance Template panel within the 3D section of Revizto.
To export appearance templates:
- Open the “Appearance Templates” panel by clicking the More menu icon
on the toolbar and selecting “Appearance Templates”, or by clicking the Appearance templates icon
when in advanced view.
- Select an appearance template.
- Select the context menu
.
- Select Export to create an appearance template file (.aptmpl).
- To import appearance templates, select Import to import the appearance template file (.aptmpl).
Issue filter presets
Issue filter presets can be shared, exported, and imported from the Issue Filter within the Issue Tracker of Revizto.
To import and export issue filter presets:
- Open the filter panel by clicking Filter
.
- Click Import
and select the issue preset file (.vimprst).
- If the issue filter presets being imported have the same name then a pop-up will appear. You can “Update existing preset”, “Keep both presets”, or “Skip presets”.
- If the issue filter presets being imported have the same name then a pop-up will appear. You can “Update existing preset”, “Keep both presets”, or “Skip presets”.
- To export, click Export
to open the export selection options.
- Select the issue filters you want to export via the checkboxes.
- Click OK and it will be saved to an issue preset file (.vimprst).
