Pulling logs from iPad Follow
To accurately diagnose technical issues with a Revizto project, you may be asked to provide project logs. Logs from the iPad can be accessed using the Revizto Shared Location iOS connector application that is downloaded when you install Revizto to your computer.
Before pulling logs from an iPad, make sure the following are installed on the computer you will be connecting to the iPad:
- iTunes
- Revizto Shared Location iOS connector
You must have the original iTunes app, not the version from the Microsoft Store. The original iTunes app can be downloaded using this link: https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win64.
For more information see Shared Location iOS connector can't find iTunes.
To pull logs from an iPad:
- On your computer, right-click the Revizto Shared Location iOS Connector shortcut and open Properties.
- In the Target field add " -log" to the end of the string. Click OK to save.
- Ensure the Revizto and Revizto Site apps are closed on your iPad.
- Run the Revizto Shared Location iOS connector application on your computer, then connect the iPad to the computer via cable and run the Revizto app on the iPad following the Revizto Shared Location iOS connector instructions.
- Try to open the problematic project on the iPad and recreate the issue you are experiencing, then sync the project.
- Find the new log file in the ".logs" subfolder in the Revizto working folder on your computer.
To find the Revizto working folder on your device, open the Revizto application and go to Preferences > General. The working folder location will be listed under Working folder.
- Attach all files that end with "_IpadLink.log" to the support ticket for your issue.
