Creating projects Follow
Users with the Required permissions are able to create new projects in Revizto 5 and/or Revizto Workspace. Users can also import project settings from prior projects to easily use existing workflows.

Required permissions
Users require certain license roles to create projects.
You can view your access rights in the Project Team tab in Revizto workspace by clicking View project role or Set project role
next to your role name. See Roles in the license for more information.

Creating projects in Revizto 5
You can create and publish projects locally, to a shared location, or to the cloud in Revizto 5.
To create a project in Revizto 5:
- Click Project in the upper left corner.
- Click New.
- Enter the project title.
- Select where to publish the project. This determines where your project data is stored. For more information see the Revizto data storage policy.
- Select the License to use for the project. This is available with the "Cloud" and "Shared location" publishing options.
- If the desired license is not available, verify you are signed in the correct account and you have the Required permissions.
- If you want to import settings from another project, select the Import settings from another project checkbox, select a source project, and select the settings that you want to import by clicking Options.

- Enable your desired integrations, selected integrations will have a white outline showing they’re selected.
- If you are not currently signed in to the selected integrations you will be required to sign in when you click Create. You can always click Cancel to add these integrations later if needed.
- Click Create at the bottom of the form.
After creating a new project, the project will be opened in Revizto Workspace for you to invite and manage project team members.
Creating projects in Revizto Workspace
You can create and publish projects through Revizto Workspace. Projects created in Revizto Workspace are limited to cloud storage.
To create a project in Revizto Workspace:
- Sign in to ws.revizto.com.
- If you are a member of several licenses, ensure that the correct license is selected.
- Go to License Management Tools, and select Project Directory.
- If this option is not available, ensure you have the required permissions.
- Click New project.
- Enter the project title.
- Enter or select the project owner.
- The project owner must be a license member.
- Perform optional steps.
- Click Create at the bottom right of the page.
Optional project settings in Revizto Workspace
The following are optional settings when creating a new project in Revizto Workspace.
1. Add a thumbnail
- Click in the thumbnail area and select a picture file. Then drag the image or the slider to adjust the crop area, and click OK.

2. Add project abbreviation
- Enter your project abbreviation in the Abbreviation text box.
3. Add project tags
- To add a tag, in the Tags field, start typing a tag. This opens a dropdown list with matching tags and the option to add a new tag.
- To remove a tag click the X next to the tag, or to remove all tags click the blue X in the Tags field.
4. Import settings from another project
- Select the Import settings from another project checkbox.
- Select a source license and a source project, and select the settings that you want to import.
- If a source license is marked as "Authentication needed," you are not signed in to this license. Cancel the project creation, sign in to the license, switch back to the license where you want to create a project, and try again.
5. Create another project
- Select the Create another project checkbox to create a new project after this one.
