Project access rights Follow

Access rights are the individual tasks users are allowed to perform, which are combined to create project roles. 

You can view available access rights in the Project Team tab in Revizto Workspace. Each user on the project will have their project role listed in the "Project role" column. You can click either View project role or Set project role next to the role name to see all access rights. Each access right granted by that user’s project role will have a check mark beside it.

Below are descriptions of all available access rights by section:

Some actions are available to all Revizto users and, therefore, do not have access rights associated with them. These actions are described under:

Project administration

The following access rights are related to project administration.

Access right Description Related access rights
Administrative rights Grants administrative rights in the project. See "Administrative rights" in Project administrator access rights.

Grants all other project access rights.

License administrators and the project owner always have this right.
Revert project to older versions Grants the right to revert a project to an older version. N/A
Manage automations
 

Grants the right to manage automations.

This includes creating and editing automation scenarios in a project.

Issue tracker

The following access rights are related to the issue tracker.

View public issues

Grants the right to view public issues created by other users.

Without this right, a user can view only the issues that they created, the issues assigned to them, and the issues watched by them.

Create issues Grants the right to create issues. Granted by the "Sync Navisworks clashes" right.
Comment issues

Grants the right to add comments and attachments to any issue visible to this user.

Without this right, a user can add comments and attachments only to the issues that they created and the issues assigned to them.

Edit issue statuses (except completion)
 

Grants the right to change the status of any visible issue to a status in the "To do" or "Tracking" categories.

Without this right, a user can do that only to the issues that they created and the issues assigned to them.

Granted by the "Edit issue statuses and issue types" right.
 
Edit issue statuses and issue types

Grants the right to edit the status and type of any issue visible to the user.

Without this right, a user can do that only to the issues that they created themselves.

Grants the "Edit issue statuses (except completion)" right.
Edit issue titles
 

Grants the right to edit the title of any issue visible to the user.

Without this right, a user can only edit the titles of the issues that they created.

Grants the right to edit the priority of any issue visible to the user.

Without this right, a user can only edit the priorities of the issues that they created.

Grants the right to edit the deadline of any issue visible to the user.

Edit issue watchers

Grants the right to edit the watchers of any issue visible to the user.

Without this right, a user can edit only the watchers of the issues that they created and the issues assigned to them, and add themselves as a watcher to any issue visible to them.

Edit issue privacy
 

Grants the right to edit the privacy (public or private) of any issue visible to the user.

Without this right, a user can only edit the privacy of the issues that they created.

Tag issues

Grants the right to tag or untag issues (using the tags that exist in the project). This does not grant the right to create new tags.

Without this right, a user can only tag or untag the issues that they created and the issues assigned to them.

Granted by the "Create issue tags" right.
Create issue tags
  		Grants the right to create new issue tags. Creating an issue tag adds it to the list of tags available in the project.

Grants the "Tag issues" right.

Granted by the "Rename and delete tags" right.
 

Rename and delete tags Grants the right to rename issue tags, and permanently delete issue tags from the project. Grants the "Create issue tags" right.
Edit issue markups
 

Grants the right to edit the markup and 3D view of any issue visible to the user.

Without this right, a user can only edit the markups and 3D views of the issues that they created and the issues assigned to them.

Grants the right to delete any issue visible to this user.

Without this right, a user can delete only the issues that they created.

Manage stamp templates
 

Grants the right to create, edit, and delete stamp templates and stamp categories.

This does not grant the right to edit stamp issues.

Sync Navisworks clashes
 

Grants the right to sync Navisworks clashes with the issue tracker.

This includes creating clash issues, editing clash issue statuses, and editing clash issue markups with the "Sync Clashes" tool in the Navisworks plug-in.

This does not grant the right to edit issue statuses and markups manually.

Grants the "Create issues" right.
 

3D

The following access rights are related to the 3D model.

Manage all 3D models

Grants the right to manage all models and alignments in the project.

The "Transform scene" operation additionally requires the "Assign custom object properties" right.

 Grants the "Add new 3D models" right.
Add new 3D models

Grants the right to add models to the project, and the right to edit and delete the models added by this user.

This does not grant the right to overwrite models added by other users.

 Granted by the "Manage all 3D models" right.
Add and edit viewpoints
 		 Grants the right to add and edit viewpoints, except for the home viewpoint.

Add and edit flythroughs Grants the right to add and edit flythroughs.

Manage shared search sets Grants the right to share search sets with the project team, and manage shared search sets. N/A

Manage custom object properties Grants the right to create, rename and permanently delete custom object properties in the project. Grants the "Assign custom object properties" right.
Assign custom object properties
 

Grants the right to add existing custom properties to objects, and edit custom property values for any object.

Additionally, grants use of the "Transform scene" operation.

Manage shared appearance templates Grants the right to share appearance templates with the project team, and manage shared appearance templates. N/A

2D

The following access rights are related to sheets.

Access right Description Related access rights
Manage all sheets Grants the right to manage all sheets in the project.

 

 Grants the "Add new sheets" right.
Add new sheets

Grants the right to perform the following actions:

  • Import sheets to the project.
  • Create sheet folders and sheet tags.
  • Sort sheets within the project.
  • Overwrite, rename, and delete the sheets imported by this user.
  • Rename and delete the sheet folders created by this user.
  • Move the sheets imported by this user and the folders created by this user to any folders.
  • Detach sheets imported by this user from CDE.
  • Add or remove tags to or from the sheets imported by this user.
Granted by the "Manage all sheets" right.

Export from Revizto

The following access rights are related to exporting data from Revizto.

Access right Description Related access rights
Export sheets to PDF Grants the right to export sheets to PDF. N/A
Export projects to EXE/Save local project copies Grants the right to export Revizto projects to standalone executable files for Microsoft Windows, and save local project copies. N/A
Export project to IFC Grants the right to export Revizto projects to IFC. N/A

Clash automation

The following access rights are related to clash automation and are only available to members of Revizto+ licenses.

The rights listed below are project-wide. Individual user rights for each clash test are determined by the user’s clash test role.

Access right Description Related access rights
Clash administrator Grants full control over all clash tests. Grants the "Create clash tests" and "View public clash tests" right.
Create clash tests

Grants the right to create clash tests.

When a user creates a clash test, they are assigned the Test administrator role in that test.

 Granted by the "Clash administrator" right.
View public clash tests

Grants the right to view public clash tests in the "Clash automation" module.

This right does not affect the visibility of clash issues in the issue tracker.

 Granted by the "Clash administrator" right.

Actions available to all users

Any Revizto user can perform the following actions:

  • View the 3D model and sheets.
  • Perform the following actions on the issues that they created:
    • View issues.
    • Comment on issues.
    • Edit issue status.
    • Edit issue title.
    • Edit issue priority.
    • Edit issue deadline.
    • Edit issue reporter.
    • Edit issue watchers.
    • Edit issue visibility.
    • Edit issue tags.
    • Edit issue markups.
    • Edit the "Stamp" issue field.
    • Edit stamp colors.
    • Change issue status to a status of "Completed" category.
    • Assign issues.
    • Delete issues.
  • Perform the following actions on the issues assigned to them:
    • View issues.
    • Comment on issues.
    • Edit issue status.
    • Add or remove issue tags.
    • Edit issue markups.
    • Edit issue watchers.
    • Edit the "Stamp" issue field.
    • Edit stamp colors.
    • Assign issues.
  • Perform the following actions on the scenes that they created:
    • Overwrite scenes.
    • Delete scenes.
  • Perform the following actions on the sheets that they created:
    • Overwrite sheets.
    • Delete sheets.
  • Create reports and project dashboards.
  • Perform the following actions on the reports and project dashboards that they own:
    • View reports and dashboards.
    • Add dashboards to favorites.
    • Remove dashboards from favorites.
    • Import and export dashboards.
    • Edit dashboards.
    • Delete dashboards.
  • Perform the following actions on the reports and project dashboards that are shared with them:
    • View reports and dashboards.
    • Add dashboards to favorites.
    • Remove dashboards from favorites.
    • Import and export dashboards.

Any Revizto user that can sign in to a project in an authoring tool can perform the following actions:

  • Link a project in the authoring tool to a Revizto project.
  • Switch back from Revizto to an authoring tool.

Any Revizto user that has enough rights in Procore can perform the following actions on Procore RFI issues:

  • Elevate issues to RFI.
  • Edit Procore RFI issue status.
