Revizto users that have sufficient rights can import models from files. For details, see the following sections:
Supported file formats
Revizto supports importing models from files that have the following formats:
- Autodesk Filmbox (.fbx)
- Industry Foundation Classes (.ifc)
- Wavefront OBJ (.obj)
- AVEVA PDMS (.rvm)
- Point cloud: ReCap, Faro, and LAS (.rcp, .rcs, .fls, .fws, .lsproj, .laz, .las)
Revizto supports the following IFC specifications:
- IFC 2×3 TC1 files (including earlier versions like IFC 20LF and IFC 2×2)

Revizto does not support import from compressed IFC files (*.ifczip).
Importing models from files
To import models from files:
In Revizto application, open a project.
At the top of the window, go to Project > Import.
Select files and click Open.
For each file, select whether you want to append it as a new model or update an existing model of this type, and then click Ok.
If your project does not contain any models, Revizto skips this step.
Specify the import settings and click Ok.
The assortment of settings depends on the file type. If you select multiple non-IFC files, Revizto skips this step and imports the models with the default settings.
Setting Description Default value Can be changed in Revizto Textures
Presence and/or quality of textures.
Textures of the selected quality will be imported if they are available for the original model.
Standard textures (for .fbx files)
No textures (for .obj files)
Some model file types store distances without measurement units, so you have to specify the units during the import.
Meters Yes Quality The distance between points in a point cloud. High quality (6 mm) No Origin position The offset that applies to the model’s origin. 0, 0, 0 Yes Rotation
Specify a vector and an angle. The vector sets the direction of the rotation axis.
Vector: 0, 0, 1
The method of aligning the models with Revizto origin.
We recommend that you select the same value for all models in your project. This minimizes the need for manual adjustments.
